SITUATION


Providence wanted to test a mailing to its lowest performing Southern California Foundations: Holy Cross, Saint Mary’s and Tarzana. They hoped to target patients and donors that recently visited the hospital for emergency medical care or came in for preventative care procedures.

The message needed to reinforce that donations help to support the doctors and nurses as well technology and research investments.

STRATEGY


Creative Shoebox leveraged data to develop the messaging and provide a closer connection to patients and donors. For the patient audience, we were able to see when they last visited the hospital and speak at a high level to the type of care they received. For the Donors, we included their last gift amount and listed how their donation helped improve care at the hospital.

RESULTS


The new mailings provided a healthy boost. The Donor mailing saw the highest lift gaining a 3.9% higher result from the Holy Cross Foundation and 4.25 lift on the Tarzana mailing. Our analytics team provided a full report including recommendations and identified opportunities for future growth.
