CREATING A CALMING ENVIRONMENT FOR EXPECTING MOTHERS
Saint John’s came to CSB to do a mural on the walls that lead to the Labor & Delivery area on the third floor of the hospital. The signage needed to be contemporary but also provide a sense of calm and comfort to the many woman that come in to have their babies at Saint John’s.
Creative Shoebox developed several different concepts but landed on a visual that is a part of the LA landscape, the ocean. The imagery has an abstract beachy feel with beautiful colors, that capture the feeling of both a sunrise and sunset. We wanted to make sure the visuals would provide a sense of calm as these expecting mothers move their way through to the Labor & Delivery area.
