CREATING A CALMING ENVIRONMENT FOR EXPECTING MOTHERS
Saint John’s came to CSB to do a mural on the walls that lead to the Labor & Delivery area on the third floor of the hospital. The signage needed to reflect a contemporary aesthetic while also creating a sense of calm and comfort for the many women who come to Saint John’s to give birth.
Creative Shoebox developed several different concepts but landed on a visual that is a part of the LA landscape, the ocean. The imagery has an abstract beach feel that captures the feeling of both a sunrise and sunset. We wanted to make sure the visuals would provide a sense of calm as these expecting mothers move their way through to the Labor & Delivery area.
